Airtel Brings 4G To Nigeria


One of Nigeria's biggest telecommunication cooperations, Airtel recently partnered up with ZTE Corporations to launch the highly awaited 4G LTe service in Nigeria.

When asked to comment on the recent development, Airtel's CEO Segun Ogunsanya told Nigerian The Guardian,
“This is a new dawn for mobile Internet in Nigeria. Airtel and ZTE’s collaboration to roll out 4G service pan Nigeria will dramatically improve mobile Internet experience for telecoms consumers across the country. 
“Indeed, Airtel is committed to strengthening its position as a true pioneer of innovation in the Nigerian telecommunications domain, as this is in line with our overall corporate vision of becoming the mobile Internet service provider of first choice for every Nigerian.”
While the Vice President of ZTE Corporation, Mr. Zhang Ruigang also chimed in adding,
“As a reliable partner, ZTE will cooperate with Airtel Nigeria to build the first-class 4G LTE network, and provide the best long term service to Airtel Nigeria.”

If you have an iPhone and you have Whatsapp, then you be pleased to know that Siri can now read your messages out loud to you like a personal assistant.

Thanks to Apple, iPhone users can also respond to messages without typing.

All iPhone users have to do now is tell Siri what they want to send and Siri will handle the rest.

Uber Secretly Tracked Users Even After They Deleted The App

Uber and were both on the receiving end of some major backlash this past weekend after it was revealed that had been selling users data to Uber.

According to reports, back in 2015, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook had threatened to kick Uber out of the App store after it was discovered that Uber had been tracking formers users even after they deleted the app from their iPhones using a tool called "fingerprinting".

BRT Buses Now Allow You To Connect To Their Wifi For Free

BRT Passengers commuting within Lagos, Nigeria will now be able to enjoy free internet wifi thanks to Primero Transport Services Limited.

The Managing director of Primero, Fola Tinubu, who introduced the idea earlier this year has also stated that an e-ticketing system for commercial passengers will also be introduced before the end of the year.

Snapchat Boss Ruffles Feathers: "Snapchat Is Only For Rich People"

Snapchat CEO, Evan Spigel came under fire this past weekend after allegedly making some insensitive comments about who he felt was fit enough to use the very popular social app and who he felt was not.

According to Variety, a former Snapchat employee, Anthony Pompliano told the publication that Spigel had told him in September 2015 that the Snapchat "is only for rich people." He added that Spigel told him "I don't want to expand into poor countries like India and Spain."

Over the weekend, one 8-year-old boy was so desperate for a MC D's cheeseburger, he took his dad's vehicle for a MC Donald's run with his 4-year-old sister.

Nigerian Uber Driver Killed After Being Strangled

A Lagos Uber driver identified as Ehobosa Alex, was killed over the weekend after been strangled to death in his KIA RIO salon car by two lagos men, Osaro Egbomrewe and Michael Eyeoekpe.

When asked to give a detailed account of what happened over the weekend, Osaro Egbomrewe, told press,

“I and Michael met at Ogba where I went to drink and we became friends. I told him how difficult things were for me that I needed to relocate to Benin to start all over again. It was at this point that Michael told me about a deal that could fetch me some money that we could get a car and then sell it to his boss. Michael then told me about one Alex (Emmanuel) who had a vehicle and we agreed to meet the following day. Since then we had been meeting and discussing how to buy the vehicle. “On the fateful day the Uber driver came, I was with Michael in his office and his friend Destiny was with him but I don’t know if he discussed the vehicle deal with Destiny.

Just 6 months after the initial release of the Moto Z smartphone,  Motorola are back again with an upgraded version called the Moto Z2.

Although details have not been released about the phone, it's clear the Z2 is going to be a newer and refined version of its predecessor.

If the phone is anything like its predecessor - the Moto G, which is one of my personal favourite smartphones to date, then it's going to be worth every penny.
