You Can Now Place Food Orders Through Facebook

They don't call Facebook the social media king for nothing....

Earlier this week, Facebook rolled out a new feature on their platform, which allows users in selected areas (in parts of America) to make Food orders directly via heir web and mobile app.

According to TechCrunch, the new feature "lets Facebook users place food pickup and delivery orders from restaurants using Delivery.com or Slice."

How cool is that?

Speaking with a user who was able to try out the app yesterday, the user told TechCrunch,
"When you tap through to being your order, you’re able to browse the menu, add items to your cart, edit your order, add a suggested tip, then pay within Facebook, in a mobile experience powered by either Delivery.com or Slice."
The user also added,
"After payment, a confirmation screen appears letting you now that you’ll also receive an email to confirm your order and a time frame when the order is expected to arrive or be ready for pickup."
Unfortunately, there is no word yet on when the new feature will go global.
