Google Teams Up With MTN Nigeria For Something Special, Adds Lagos To Street View

Google_For_Nigeria_Lagos_2017

Earlier today, Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai revealed during the Google for Nigeria event, that Google has teamed up with MTN to create a new smartphone. The phone which is slated to be released in September will reportedly retail for ₦13,000.

In related news, it was also announced today that Google has launched the highly anticipated street view of Lagos, Nigeria via Google Earth. This means avid Google Earth users can get a 360 view of almost any building, road or restaurant on the streets of Lagos.

I kid you not guys, I was actually looking at the Google Earth on Monday. I was just roaming through Google Earth after not being on it in what seemed like forever.  I Googled a few places then, I proceeded to Google some places in Lagos just see if anything had changed, but unfortunately not much had changed. I was disappointed and then I began to wonder if Nigeria would ever get the "whole street level treatment" and now to hear this news is just AMAZING :). It actually works. I've been virtually driving around places since LMAO. It's like God was trying to tell me something lol.

I don't know what I am more excited about.... the smartphone or the new update? What are you guys excited about? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
